Lettering doodles created around illustrations provided by OSP for a series of empowering notebooks.

My friend Tommy commissioned me to help modernize his family restaurant with two murals: one for a polaroid wall and another spanning a 15ft wall. For the large piece, Tommy wanted a strong illustrative look that highlighted ingredients; initially, we considered drawing an actual bowl of pho with lettered ingredients, but after a round of thumbnails, I recommended an illustrative type-heavy lettering piece. 

I sketched and finished the digital piece in Photoshop using my Wacom tablet. With the help of Tommy, I traced the digital piece onto the wall with chalk and finished most of the mural in 2 days using white and gold acrylic paints.

I created lettering and doodles for the Pinterest marketing campaign for the movie Everything, Everything in conjunction with McBeard. As lead designer on this campaign, I chose a more unrefined, raw, and handwritten look, complete with crooked lines and shaky details to match the campaign art, to cater to the teen audience this movie was geared towards. I created these in Photoshop with my Wacom tablet.

Lettering piece created for a Snapchat filter for Fullscreen's company holiday party. I exported it and created a standalone graphic out of it.

Illustrated lettering piece for Design Cuts.

A lettering piece for designcuts.com. I wanted a fantastical element to represent art. In this case, I drew a dragon made of ink. I included some other literal elements to really emphasize the feelings of escaping through art.

A lettering piece for Design Cuts featuring an inspirational quote. I drew an hourglass that was inspired by my low poly Zelda piece and drew the lettering on top of it after. Initially, I wanted more video game-inspired elements and began with pixel lettering, but scrapped it for a more elegant style. Instead of making a literal art piece, I went with a heart hourglass being filled with paint. I added some art tools in the paint above to make it more literal.

Tea lettering created to help promote herb vaporizers. This was a really interesting project... it was my first time creating food/physical type. I spent 12 hours pushing and nudging loose leaf tea until I achieved the final product.

Featuring a hand lettered and illustrated tech-inspired logo for Gundam model builders, Those Gundam Guys. This design was used throughout their print marketing, including stickers, t-shirts and banners.

This was a Parks & Recreation collaboration between myself and Bethan, I worked on all the type, lettering, and general stylizing while she drew Ron Swanson.

Typography/lettering illustration piece featuring a quote by Charlie Bradbury of CW’s Supernatural. It’s meant to encourage bravery, wit, and all things Hermione Granger of the Harry Potter franchise and book series represents, especially in a time of danger.
